We’re pleased to share that Antony Welfare will be joining NEM Software as Chief Commercial Officer, where he will be responsible for the development and growth of the Symbol platform for enterprise.

As Chief Commercial Officer at NEM Software, Antony is responsible for the development of next generation hybrid enterprise blockchain solutions.

A prominent voice in the enterprise blockchain space, Antony has 20 years experience in retail and emerging technology, having worked with leading organisations in developing strategies and implementing blockchain solutions. As former Innovation Strategy Director at Oracle, he developed their Go To Market strategy for blockchain apps in the EMEA region. He also served as Managing Director of DXC Technology, a global technology consultancy, where he led their blockchain practice, delivering over 50 projects and building a global team.

A highly regarded author, Antony Welfare wrote ‘Commercializing Blockchain: Strategic Applications in the Real World’, which was published in 2019 by Wiley. This book includes research and findings from thirteen global technology experts, as well his own significant experience in the blockchain space. He is also the author of the #1 best seller ‘The Retail Handbook’, which explores best practices to attract, engage and retain customers in the digital age.

In 2018, Antony became one of the founding members of the Retail Blockchain Consortium alongside UCL CBT, Oracle and MonoChain, to drive blockchain adoption across the retail value chain. Outside of NEM, he is a Board Advisor to the UK Government on Blockchain, a guest lecturer for University College London’s (UCL) Blockchain Programme, an Advisor to two blockchain startups and an in-demand keynote speaker.
