Announcement of a Proof-of-Concept Launch for “Blockchain Toreca” Utilizing the mijin blockchain platform
TOKYO – June 12, 2018 – Today, Tech Bureau, Corp. (“Tech Bureau”), a crypto-fintech company, announced a launch of a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) for “Blockchain Toreca” with Aeria Inc. (“Aeria”) using their blockchain platform mijin starting from Monday, June 18th 2018.

About Blockchain Toreca
It is a service which adopts a method to register, issue, and distribute the trading cards per unit of one card as a digital asset. Instead of managing the trading cards on the operating company’s server, by using the blockchain technology it enables to record and distribute the trading cards that are almost impossible to modify.
Each purchased cards have their own characteristics. A battle game can be enjoyed which the match’s outcome is decided depending on the timing of tapping the screen and the affinity of combination of the played cards and the characteristics. Also, a gorgeous effect*1 will be added for the cards that have gained a certain amount of points.
*1 The characteristics of the cards, the points of the game, and the effects that will be added will be used just in the Blockchain Toreca game. These elements will not be recorded on the blockchain. The possession status is the only information that will be recorded on the blockchain. When the ownership of the card changes, these three elements will be renewed.

Why mijin?
Initially, it was planned to use Ethereum, however, Aeria is currently putting an effort to adopt blockchain technology. Not only for Blockchain Toreca but at the moment there are also plans for the escrow services to adopt the blockchain technology, and it was considered that mijin is a suitable private blockchain in order to hold a PoC for each service. In addition, it is compatible with NEM and it is rather easy to develop a public blockchain, therefore, mijin has been chosen.
Schedule
The PoC is planned to run for a week under the following period:
Monday, June 18th 2018 to Monday, June 25th 2018
After solving issues that have been occurred during the PoC period, the official launch of the service is planned to be in July 2018.
